thank you for making this ;u;

reading this made so many parts of me feel seen and loved and understood.

y'all did an amazing job showing how parts can just suck sometimes. sometimes thats because its what kept us alive. sometimes it feels more like a scar from them keeping us alive.

mira's unabashed self love was touching.

i  loved  anastazja's character so much! we love to see a charismatic prettyboywhore do his thing <3

the relationship with kamila felt so real. being a desired object of someone with no desire to understand you sucks big fat titties. (or more aptly, touches me where i dont wanna be touched and blames me for not liking it)

oh, and 1million/10 plushie fucking scene. genre defining 🧸🐇

ela is so cute and sweet and precious, its messed up that she had to go to work all by herself. aleks needing to feel useful / feel in control as someone who exists to uphold executive function, and thereby being The Hated One feels so real. i love kornelia's design and how analytical she is as part of her autism, but how much her inexperience sets her up for failure. I wanna squeeze roksana tight and tell her she's gonna be ok, even though she did all that. I wanna help her find outlets for her feelings, but i'm not entirely certain that's something she'd ever want or trust to make her feel ok. The drive for total self-annihilation and debasement is so hard to appease, because doing it in an "unhealthy" way is often the point!!

This is freaking incredible. Feels like I went through the entire spectrum of emotions. I adore the altars so much. Amazing work on all fronts.

(+1)

This game captures the plural experience better than most, certainly feels like it was written by someone who has personal experience.

(+1)

short review, appropriate for public consumption: holy shit. also, fuck.

medium review that nobody has any business writing: for the first couple of chapters there were just barely enough details to know that this was not in fact written about u- written about me by somebody who apparently lives in my brain or some other nonsense? like JUST barely enough sometimes. i almost vomited multiple times, and not during the parts where it would be normal to do so. i could barely move for most of the time it took me to plow through this. i don't know who or what i am.

long rev- [this reviewer has been taken out back and shot before anything further can be disclosed]

OKAY BUT real serious talk for a minute: every word above is meant as a compliment, i really enjoyed this as a piece of art, and also i maybe have some personal issues of my own to work out. thank you for sharing this, it was incredible. i hope nothing above is crossing any lines with a LITERAL stranger, but i felt an intense need to post a more or less "overly personal/relatively uncensored" reaction.

(+1)

Yeah this. Is very good. Fuck.

How do you put words to it? How could anything written in this little comment come close to the feeling that the many words of this game portrays? It's a contender for one of the most impactful games I've ever played. Thanks,.

Firstly hi. As someone with DID, I don't really know what to say. I really liked the writing and game as a whole. Related with the sudden changes of emotions and thoughts, with the self hatred.

I don't use plural, my alters don't have names, sometimes I'm not even sure about if I even have alters. Though I know that there is something and I'm always kind of aware when it takes control.
But I can't stop it. I don't know where is me. I don't know which one is me. Day or night or the one that comes out when I'm really stressed. Sometimes I can have a panic attack but then I'd be fine. In an instant. I could be scared that I will die late at night but then have blurry memory and no damn to give for the night. And everytime at every part I feel as myself. No other person or alter.
This game even though a nice rep. I feel unseen, not by the game, but overall.

Don't get me wrong. I liked the game. So my rant with trauma dump is because I liked this much. Again good job really.

was too invested in the zuzka system's life and mental health to start jerking off when i got to the sex scenes. 10/10

(+3)(-1)

I feel excruciatingly seen. Plural life is compromise, sacrifice, co-operation. The systems within ourself are as fragile as those systems in the world, though. One part out of alignment and you might find yourself damaged beyond repair.

This story is lovingly crafted, brutal, unsettling, and makes me examine some of the darkest experiences in my life. I’m glad I put in the effort to read it.

(+1)

Thank you very  much for your kind words, my friend. I really am glad that this game made you feel so seen.

(+1)

I love this vn...  The pacing felt on point - always engaging with either the plot or learning about these fun characters.  and I ADORE these little freaks [affectionate].  Ela and Kornelia in particular, but each system member was written for me to love ;) It helps that the art is crazy good too- very expressive!  Anyways, this is a GotY contender. play pomly love Ela

(+1)

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you liked the members of the system so much, and that you enjoyed your experience with the game as much as you did.

(+4)(-3)

Listen.  I need you to listen to me.  If you are a plural system and you're struggling with internal dysfunction like this, you've gotta make it a serious priority to get all of your members on the same page.  I mean it—ALL of them!  You need to communicate, collaborate, and compromise, not try to hog the front or repress your fellow headmates!  Otherwise, it's gonna be YOU chained up in some rapist cokehead's basement next, doing a lot of painful finding out after one of your errant alters fucked around!

And speaking of which, I'd say this VN does a great job of underscoring that point~  The plural writing here feels very lived and authentic, which is certainly refreshing to see, heheheh.  There's also a ton of careful attention to detail in the art, which I deeply appreciated: Seeing all of the slight differences in Zuzka's positions and poses from scene to scene, with her body language mirroring that of the current front, was an absolute delight~

Though, frankly, I was surprised that Kamila stuck around for as long as she did, between Aleks's abrasive attempts at manipulation and Mira being a pill while doing a clumsy job at communicating with her—not that Kamila was exactly Girlfriend of the Year material herself, heh.  I can only imagine how many more interactions like that they'd had before the start of the game... though, for all of Kamila's faults, Monika made her look like an angel by comparison, heheheheh~

But yes, great work!  I had a lot of fun reading this one~

P.S.: Shout out to my girl Kornelia for saving the day!

(+2)

Thank you very much for your kind words, Kyou. I'm glad that you and so many other folks and systems have been able to enjoy the plural writing in this VN. I also very much agree with you, in that it is very important for systems to to squash that inter-system conflict, and get on the same page. Thank you for playing~

(+5)

Both the character writing and the torture-basement writing were super compelling here, I didn't want to put this down the whole time. It was a bit funny to see some bits in the torture basement and go "wait I remember talking about this in the discord server" though, ahaha.

This many original cgs and sprites is also wildly ambitious for the scope of a jam game, kudos.

Thank you very much for your kind words.
(Hehe, I am very appreciative for the folks who helped me make the torture basement section shine with their thoughts and advice)

Echoing a lot of the ways this one resonated. Definitely feel very seen so I think you got the DID/plural rep down pat; the way Zuzka's system members interacted and tried real damn hard to sort their shit while also tearing it down is so strongly depicted. The struggle of self-acceptance and having that desire to do anything, anything, to find what feels right can never truly feel all the way. The mental and physical torture that we can go through navigating being an incomplete whole. But damn you do have to at least try and it's so goddamn hard.

also the system sex was cute.

(+1)

Thank you for your kind words - I'm glad the story resonated with you! And yes, you are very right - it is very hard, but you do gotta try anyway.

was a rough ride and had us feeling very complicated at the end but it did quite resonate with us plurality-wise.  we felt very seen by this as a system that really struggles with self/selves love/acceptance, and has had situations in the past where members really hurt each other that we still don’t entirely know how to deal with. mira's statement at the end felt very powerful for us. we're glad we read this <3

(+1)

Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy this story resonated with you.

What an incredible work of art!! This had us feeling tons of emotions the entire way through. It was really wonderful to see positive plural rep and seeing it used both for developing characters as well as for tension was quite impressive. Plus, as a system that's very much a big bundle of dogs, it was so nice seeing all the headmates be cute little furry creatures made us feel seen :3

The plural sex was really good and really cute!! The torture scenes were really well-written and it was quite enthralling imagining what they were all going through. The dissociation effects used throughout were really clever and made for an effective visual indication of mental state.

The art of the sprites and characters and backgrounds are all really great, and we really loved the names of all the characters, too!

We really hope that Zuzka is able to finally get the healing they all deserve!!

Thank you so much for your kind words and comment. I'm glad this game was one that allowed you to feel seen.

(+6)(-1)

I felt transfixed while reading this. I have a lot of friends with DID and this touched on a lot of feelings I have for them, and experiences they've talked about (like having to "share" a relationship, or having to figure out who's responsible for some self-harm).  I really felt for Zuzanna and the struggles the system was going through.

(+1)

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and found it transfixing. POMLY was meant to be a good and genuine case of DID rep, and so I am glad that it felt true to what you have seen in life as well.

(+5)

A deeply personal look into a life going some very dark places, Part of Me Loves You is ultimately a game about the struggle to parse what's best for yourself (especially when you've more than one self in the first place). With its unique art and vibrant characters, some aspect about this game is sure to catch your interest and linger in your mind for a long time to come.
Just be sure to heed the content warnings!

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed! (And yes folks, please do head the content warnings)

fluffy~

100+ sprites is crazy work. one of the few entries i'm gonna be thinking about for a long time, especially enthralled experiencing what a plural system looks like! all the alters were so charming in their own way :DDD

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed the characters and all the hard work put into this game.

(+4)

the sheer volume of words, effects, writing, story, and misery to be experienced through this game is truly astonishing. i'm not sure how you all put this all together in such a short time frame, but you did it and i am beyond impressed. good job team. this will linger in the air for a while

Thank you very much for your kind words. Through the power of 3 people working hard, trapping puapka in the art dungeon, and a lot of last minute stress, it was done. I am glad that you enjoyed it.

(+6)

lil fanart :3

(+3)

Very lovely, thank you so much! Going to hang this up on my fridge

(+4)(-1)

part of us felt very seen by ela, which maybe is a little concerning. thanks for making this, it was a really lovely experience

(1 edit)

I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I wish you luck.

(+3)

Really an interesting game ! I felt like i was witnessing something i shouldn't. Very unsettling from start to finish. All the alters are so cute :3

I'm glad you enjoyed getting tossed into the deep end with this story. Also I'm happy you enjoyed the alters, really happy with puapka's art throughout the game.

(+3)

Uncomfortable and unsettling from start to finish. A+

Thank you for your kind words, Oroboro. Glad you enjoyed hehe

WOW...im at a loss for words. ive cried several times and felt things i hadnt felt before. this was an intense experience. i related strongly to zuzka, so much so it has been a trainwreck of emotions and thoughts as everything unfolded the way it did.  i had to take so many breaks to gather my composure, and i was left shocked at every chapter.. and as someone who is still trying to understand my own plurality, this has been a journey.. i wrote so much more but ..no matter what i say, i wont be able to properly articulate all of my thoughts i had about this. thank you

Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad this game was able to put you on such a journey, and I am glad it was an impactful experience.

(+3)

i cried and laughed and screamed multiple times, im honestly at a loss for words. i wish nothing but the best for this shitty little system.

Thank you for your kind words.

(+3)

God, this was such a powerful experience. So many experiences in this game truly resonated and spoke with me as someone who's also questioning plurality, as someone who's trying to understand the bits and parts of herself that are actively working against her, as someone who's trying to love herself... So many scenes just either left me completely speechless, or had me covering my face in recoil as I saw myself in Zuzka's shoes, desperately trying to claw herself out of the grave they're digging for themselves as they only fall deeper and deeper.

This one hurt in all the right ways. Thank you for this.

(+1)

Thank you for your kind words. It's heartening to hear that this game could have such an effect on folks. It's hard clawing your way out of the hole, but I hope everyone is able to do so.

(+3)

this is some very strong stuff and the description is not a joke and i love it. Thanks for making me stop and think about some internal stuff for a bit, this will not make me mentally better but it sure made me appreciate the world more for there are still gems like this to discover and feel lots of empathy to people i never met <3

Thank you for your kind words. I'm happy this made you take pause and reflect, and I'm glad this game felt like a gem to discover.
